Bruichladdich 21y/o RE/DEFINE Travel Retail Exclusive 50%abv 30ml

A travel retail exclusive distilled using 100%Scottish Barley at Bruichladdich and matured for 21years in ex-American Bourbon (80%) and sherry casks (20%).  Expect notes of citrus, rich red fruits, toffee, vanilla and chocolate, along with floral notes of lavender and geranium and hints of absinthe and granny smith apple bitterness on the finish. This is a distillate driven dram and the sherry cask influence is minimal which is very much on trend as many enthusiasts are tiring of one-dimensional dark sherry bomb modern whiskies that are often overpowered by sherry. It is more complex and flavourful on the palate than the new 18y/o RE/DEFINE. This is a great whisky with good age and good abv, definitely a top duty free pick if you are travelling but the slight bitter woody off-note on the finish is a fault in an otherwise epic dram.
