Ben Nevis 10y/o French Oak Oloroso Hogshead#1728 Hogshead Milroy's Soho Selection 57.1%

A 10 year old Ben Nevis bottled by Milroys for their Soho Selection in 2023. Limited to just 278 bottles, this full bodied single malt was matured in First Fill French Oak Oloroso Hogshead, re-racked from a refill Hogshead in October 2020 at 57.1% ABV.

Tasting Note:

Nose: Dried figs and crystalised ginger are balanced by Scottish tablet and classic European Oak spice and dunnage warehouse funk.

Palate: Full bodied, with wildflower honey and toffee-apples giving sweetness while more complex savoury notes of Porcini mushrooms and Parma ham give a nod to more farmyard-style Ben Nevis’ from previous decades.

Finish: Brandy snaps and a hint of hessian bags/rancio give depth and maturity.
