This whiskey was initially matured in America Oak Bourbon Casks and finished in Mizunara Oak Casks from the Japanese Island of Hokkaidō.

Nose: An intriguing mix of marmalade, lime chutney, roasted nuts, shiitake mushrooms, almond butter and orange zest.

Palate: Quite unique and complex. Syrupy and silky in texture. Lots of those roasted nuts and mushroom flavours with some toasted oak and exotic spices.

Finish: Spicy, oaky complex and warming.

Thicc Irish Chocolate

What stands above with this dram is the richness of its texture. A dram with the qualities of a reduction. The nose gives red berries and cocoa powder. The chocolate only becomes richer on the palate with tannins that can ease off when paired with dark chocolate. A really lovely experience at this price point where the bottle can be a touch expensive.
