Kanosuke Hioki Pot Still Japanese Single Pot Still Whisky 51%ABV 30ml

This whisky is made on Hioki's stills which are basically the same as an Irish pot still but used to make their premium Shochu products using rice, buckwheat and sweet potato. This whisky was made with malted and unmalted barley for a fruitier Irish style whisky.

Hioki is the name of the sister distillery and predecessor of Kanosuke famous for their release of Kozuru Mellowed, a 100% rice based Shochu aged in American White Oak. While Hioki is famous for their range of Shochu, they now produce a range of different products such as Gin and both Grain and Malt whisky and are currently on their 4th generation of ownership in the Komasa family.
