Elements is an experimental range designed to highlight key characteristics of Laphroaig. Elements 2 highlights the fruitiness of the Laphroaig distillate by having an extended fermentation period of up to 115 hours - double the usual to increase tropical fruit and green apple notes. Some classic Laphroaigs from the 1960's and 70's were super fruity and less medicinal than modern Laphroaig - some individual cask's fruitiness was thought to have occurred when there was a fermentation done over a weekend or public holiday and the fermentation was left a day or two longer than usual. Non-chill filtered, cask strength and no colouring - this is a bold fruity smoky expression.
