Ancient Wisdom Single Barrel Australian Wheat Whisky 40%ABV 30ml / 50ml

I bought this on a whim in Dan Murphys several years ago. I thought it was a new single malt distilled in Melbourne and the first Aussie whisky I had seen available for under $100. However, it is a grain whisky made with Aussie wheat, distilled in NSW and matured in Melbourne. This was the first whisky released by Ancient Wisdom - I bought this for a tasting idea that never happened- a blind tasting with expensive Aussie first releases costing over $300 for 500ml and this -  a wild card joker - a single cask Aussie whisky costing $69. I forgot about this bottle on my 'shelf of shame' for 3 or 4 years then I was at the ADSA awards and saw 3 new whiskies from Ancient Wisdom winning Silver and they were pretty good especially at their price point - there are lots of grain whisky led offerings like Two Fold at Starward to Ned Whisky and Upshot from Whipper Snapper. As a single malt snob maybe I need to be more open minded to these. As their first release I imagine this could be shocking but the recent ones are quite impressive for the price point so I'm pulling out an early offering to see how they have improved.
