Glenallachie 18y/o (2024) 46%ABV 30ml

Fresh new Glenallachie 18 year old matured in sherry casks, American Oak and Virgin Oak. Similar in profile to the Glenallachie 15y/o sherry bomb but with softer mouthfeel and more complexity with sweet dessert and spice notes - raspberry and almond friand, caramel, honey, dark chocolate and Biscoff (virgin oak influence?). Thank god the label design has changed as that font was almost as offensive as Papyrus or Comic Sans - looked like something Fred Flintstone or Tarzan would drink. The classy new look comes with a classy price though - this 18 cost twice as much as the old 15y/o  - get a sample first to see if its worth it.
