Portsoy is named after an ancient fishing village not far from the distillery. Making use of relatively rare peated reserves and bottled at higher-than-normal strength, the profile promises a satisfying combination of sweet peat and umami, while Bourbon, sherry and port wine maturation bring notes of treacle, dark chocolate and spice to the coastal spirit.
