A vatting of Irish Single Malt Whiskey and Irish Single Pot Still Whiskey from Walsh Distillery matured in Ex-Bourbon American Oak Barrels and Refill Sherry Butts matured. Alcohol isn't well integrated but improves a lot if left in the glass. Gold Medal Winner in 2019 at the Irish Whisky Awards for best Irish Cask Strength Whiskey - it wouldn't win now with the number of new distilleries and growth in the Irish Whiskey Category. In 2019 anything from a distillery other than Midleton, Bushmills and Cooley was a bit hot and feisty.
